More Than Hot Chocolate

June 15, 2009

When the music fades
And all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless your heart

I’ll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the ways things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much You deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is Yours
Every single breath

I’ll bring You more than just a song
For a song in itself
Is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about You
All about You, Jesus
I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about You
It’s all about You Jesus

Its all about you
Jesus

Child? What Child?

December 24, 2008

Holy, holy, child in a manger
beautiful, calm, pure and peaceful

No one alive was there on that day
And few were the ones who welcomed him in

Holy, holy, child in a manger
loving, caring, kind and helpful

They flocked to his feet, from miles they came
But few were the ones who believed in his name

Holy, holy, child in a manger
Tortured, beaten, hung, unfearful

They mocked his name, the one they had praised
And few heard his words while he died for their sakes

Holy, holy, child in a manger
Forgotten, doubted, [can't remember, can't remember]

This is the reason we gather tonight
A child, holy, holy, but forgotten all the same
He came, holy, holy, but we don’t recall his name

Holy, holy, child in a manger
beautiful, calm, pure and peaceful

He did as was biden, on that cold, dark night
and came to a world who does naught in the way
of thanking the one who came to save
but to gather around a shining tree and open the presents
forgetting He came

Merry Christmas, everyone. Don’t forget that He did come. Don’t forget why He came. And don’t forget that He comes again.

Have a blessed holiday, kidlets. =D
